Mischael Staples Jones, from Utah,  with extensive out-of-state training is an accomplished harpist. She is currently studying harp at Utah Valley University, finalizing her Bachelor of Music degree in harp performance.

Mischael is an active solo, orchestral, and chamber performer. She has performed and soloed with a multitude of symphonies, ballets and operas including the Utah Symphony, Utah Valley Symphony, Timpanogos Symphony Orchestra, American Fork Symphony, Utah Philharmonic Orchestra, Utah Valley University Symphony & Chamber Orchestra. Mischael has recently participated in Utah Valley’s production of the opera La Bohème and Imagine Ballet Theater’s production of the Nutcracker ballet. 

Mischael plays in Utah Valley University’s orchestras and wind symphony as principal harpist. She also performs with the Timpanogos Symphony Orchestra as co-principal. Mischael enjoys teaching harp and playing in recording settings.

Mischael has been invited to perform on many occasions as a masterclass participant for well-known harpists including Isabelle Moretti (Paris Conservatory), Nancy Allen (Juilliard), JoAnn Turovsky (Colburn/USC), Elizabeth Hainen (Curtis Institute), Emmanuel Ceysson (LA Philharmonic), Mariko Anraku (MSM/Metropolitan Orchestra), Susan Jolles (MSM), Ina Zdorovetchi, Heidi Lehwalder, Elzbieta M. Szmyt (Indiana University Bloomington), Kathleen Bride (Eastman School of Music), Lynn Williams (Northwestern University School of Music), Elisabeth Remy (Atlanta Symphony), Katherine Siochi (Kansas City Symphony), and Emily Levin (Dallas Symphony).
